For over thirty-five years, Mr. Lobel has represented a broad
range of clients, real estate professionals, owners, developers,
managers, architects and engineers, in securing zoning, land
use, tax and other regulatory relief.
Since 1996, Mr. Lobel
has been President of the New York City Zoning Advisory Council,
comprised of architects, engineers, planners, developers and
other attorneys.
He is the co-author, with Scott S. Markowitz:
of 'Penn Central': Was It Really a 'Euclid' for Landmarks?,
New York Law Journal, July 16, 1990, at 1, and the co-author
with Charles Matos of City Needs to Update Zoning and Land
Use Laws; Business and Property Owners are Discouraged,
New York Law Journal, September 26, 1994, at S5. Reported
Cases: Ellentuck v. Klein, 570 F.2d 414 (1978, CA 2
NY); 51 A.D.2d 964 (1978).
In the fall of 2003, Mr.
Lobel was honored by the New York Society of Architects with
its Distinguished Service Award.

MARCI LOBEL-ESRIG

Ms. Lobel-Esrig joined the firm after spending nearly four
years as an associate at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft.
She works in the areas of zoning, land use and general real
estate law. In addition, she focuses on various types of real
estate transactions, including representing purchasers and
sellers of real property.

Mr. Lobel represents clients in matters before the Board
of Standards and Appeals, the City Planning Commission, and
other regulatory agencies. Mr. Lobel also represents clients
in criminal and civil court on real estate related matters
including Article 78 actions and ECB and DOB cases. Prior
to joining the firm, Mr. Lobel was a Senior Associate at Fulbright
& Jaworski, where his practice focused on transactional
matters. Mr. Lobel is a contributing author to the book Law
School Survival (Peterson's, 1998).

IRVING E. MINKIN

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Minkin was associated with
Stroock & Stroock & Lavan for 15 years. He is involved
in zoning and land use variances and special permits, administrative
appeals regarding the Building Code, Zoning Resolution and
Fire Prevention Code, as well as landmark certifications.
Mr. Minkin also handles litigation matters and appearances
before the Criminal Court, Supreme Court, Environmental Control
Board. From 1960 to 1985 he was employed by the New York City
Department of Buildings as Deputy Commissioner, Director of
Operations, Executive Engineer, Chief Plan Examiner and Plan
Examiner, where he was involved with the enforcement of the
Building Code, Zoning Resolutions, Multiple Dwelling Law,
Housing Maintenance Code, Labor Law, and other laws, rules
and regulations governing the construction, maintenance, use
and occupancy of buildings and structures.

JORDAN F. MOST

Mr. Most has been practicing in the areas of land use law
and general transactional real estate law since 1996. He also
has a master's degree in urban planning. His primary focus
is filing variance and special permit cases at the Board of
Standards and Appeals, and as a former urban planner, he is
also involved in filing applications at the City Planning
Commission. He handles a variety of land use matters before
other regulatory agencies, as well as a wide range of transactional
matters including the purchase and sale of residential and
commercial property, and the purchase and sale of development
rights. Mr. Most worked as an urban planning consultant for
local Community Boards in Manhattan and various private sector
clients.

JOSHUA J. RINESMITH

Mr. Rinesmith practices zoning, land use and general real
property law with a primary focus in filing variance and special
permit applications at the Board of Standards and Appeals.
He also handles various zoning matters with the Department
of Buildings and other regulatory agencies. Mr. Rinesmith
was an assistant editor and contributing author of the report
Breaking Ground: Building in Priority Growth Districts
(Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, 2005)
and a contributing author to Reinventing Redevelopment
Law (Land Use Law Center, Pace University School of Law,
2005).
